  • Handheld Ultrasound: threat or opportunity? Applied Radiology March 2015 - John P. McGahan, MD; Myron A. Pozniak, MD; John Cronan, MD; John S. Pellerito, MD; Kenneth S. Lee, MD; Michael Blaivas, MD; Peter Cooperberg, MD; and Harvey Klein, PhD

  • Global Radiology, Robert D. Harris, SRU Newsletter July 2015. "I know this is going to strike some radiologists as heresy, but I am so grateful that some very smart people created the compact ultrasound (US) unit. This is what has allowed me to help lead the charge into "global radiology", if you will, and compact US, I am convinced, is the direct avenue for the most efficient and beneficial adaptation of imaging technology in low resource settings".

Global health

The Journal of Global Radiology (JGR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, specialized journal of radiology that documents and studies issues surrounding global access to and delivery of medical imaging services, with a focus on low-income or resource-poor regions. JGR explores the practical and technological challenges involved in expanding global access to radiology services, and their intersection with issues of medical education, economic and infrastructural development, public health and health policy. The journal seeks to facilitate dialogue, collaboration and exchange among the many medical and nonmedical professionals involved in radiology outreach efforts around the world, and welcomes submissions of a range of content, including original research, editorials and country reports.
